В мексиканском городе Хилитла находится необычный сад «Лас-Позас». Здесь высокие деревья растут рядом с большими сооружениями из бетона. Между ними можно гулять и смотреть на разные формы. Иногда кажется, что эти сооружения выросли прямо среди растений. В сад приезжают люди, которым интересны и природа, и искусство.
In the Mexican town of Xilitla, there is an unusual garden called Las Pozas. Here tall trees grow next to large concrete structures. You can walk between them and look at the different shapes. Sometimes it seems that these structures grew right among the plants. People who are interested in both nature and art come to the garden.

В 1991 году сад открыли для посетителей.
The garden was created by Edward James, a poet and artist from the United Kingdom. At first, he grew orchids here. In 1962, severe cold destroyed thousands of flowers. After that, James began building unusual concrete structures in the garden. He wanted them to be part of the green world around them. After James’s death, construction stopped. In 1991, the garden opened to visitors.
Вся территория сада занимает 37 гектаров. На большей её части сохраняют природу. Скульптуры и постройки находятся на девяти гектарах. Здесь можно увидеть больше 28 разных сооружений и скульптур. Поэтому за одну прогулку посетители знакомятся и с работами художника, и с местными растениями.
The entire garden covers 37 hectares. Nature is preserved on most of it. The sculptures and buildings are located on nine hectares. Here you can see more than 28 different structures and sculptures. So during a single walk, visitors become familiar with both the artist’s works and the local plants.
Сад открыт со среды по понедельник с девяти утра до шести вечера. Во вторник он закрыт. Войти можно не позднее четырёх часов дня. Прогулка длится полтора часа и проходит только с гидом. В группе бывает не больше 25 человек. Число билетов на каждый день ограничено, поэтому лучше заранее забронировать посещение. Сейчас билет оплачивают в кассе у входа, а не через интернет.
The garden is open from Wednesday to Monday, from nine in the morning to six in the evening. It is closed on Tuesday. You can enter no later than four in the afternoon. The walk lasts an hour and a half and takes place only with a guide. There are no more than 25 people in a group. The number of tickets for each day is limited, so it is better to book a visit in advance. At present, tickets are paid for at the ticket office by the entrance, not via the internet.
